Following an intimate show at a disused central London cinema last night, Static Dress have shared details of their second album. It’s called ‘injury episode,’ and will be released through Sumerian Records on May 29th.
The highly anticipated follow-up to ‘Rouge Carpet Disaster’ will consist of 15 songs. Among them is the quartet’s new single, ‘Nostalgia Kills,’ which features Underøath. The track proves to be an explosive blast of post-hardcore with the former tour mates exchanging barbed words. ‘injury episode’ will also feature ‘human props,’ which was released in February.
A press release announcing the album describes the record as “a collection of tracks that are visceral in nature, yet undeniably infectious in their own right”. It also sees Olli Appleyard (vocals), Vin Weight (Guitar), George Holding (Bass), and Sam Ogden (Drums) come together for the first time for a full-length record. In turn, it promises to be their most diverse offering to date.
