Fresh off completing a UK and European tour with Silverstein and Thursday, Atlanta sextet The Callous Daoboys have shared a third track from their upcoming ‘I Don’t Want to See You in Heaven’ album. The track is titled ‘Lemon’ and sees the group push their genre-crossing muscles to the limits. With its hip-hop beat and Carson Pace’s smooth vocals, it’s a track that is sure to polarise opinions. However, it’s the reaction the band expects from ‘Lemon’.
“Some people are going to love this one, some people are going to hate this one, it’s just the reality of things,” shared Carson Pace.
The stripped-back track allows The Callous Daoboys to deliver a raw, straight-from-the-heart tale of a toxic relationship. “‘Lemon’ represents every frustration that you’ve ever had with a judgmental lover who wants you to give up on your art. ‘Lemon’ says ‘fuck that, you didn’t love me anyway,’” says Carson.
As mentioned, ‘Lemon’ is the third track to be released from ‘I Don’t Want to See You in Heaven’. It follows the double single/video, ‘Two-Headed Trout’ and ‘The Demon of Unreality Limping Like A Dog’, last month. The album is set to be released 16th May through MNRK Heavy.
