As the release of their new album, ‘The Lash,’ fast approaches, The Dirty Nil have unleashed a visceral new single called ‘Rock N’ Roll Band‘. It sees the Canadian group deliver a warning about the realities of being in a rock band, while saluting those who go through the grind.

Musically, it maintains The Dirty Nil‘s back-to-basics approach that is at the core of ‘The Lash’. It’s also the first song frontman Luke Bentham wrote for the album. “I don’t remember what particular aspect of the industry had got my goat that day but I’d worked myself up to a fine lather,” explains Bentham. ” I blasted out the whole song in 30 minutes and instantly felt better. Though the song is pretty negative, it makes me happy. This one is for all the road dogs, we salute you.”

‘Rock N’ Roll Band’ is the third cut to be released from ‘The Lash’ , following ‘Spider Dream,’ and ‘Gallop of the Hounds’.

The Dirty Nil will be back in the UK in October, supporting Spanish Love Songs, before playing the UK dates of the Common Thread Tour.
