Californian quartet The Story So Far are scheduled to return to the UK and Europe later this month as they kick off a run of shows supporting blink-182 with a smattering of headline dates. To get fans hyped up for their return, they’ve released their first new music in five years.

The single is called ‘Big Blind’ and captures The Story So Far‘s signature melodic drive and powerful vocals. It questionably marks a return to the band’s older sound after 2018’s ‘Proper Dose’ showcased glimpses of a laid-back approach, while not fully abandoning their signature sound.

‘Big Blind’ lyrics

I’m used to bein’ here by myself, I’m workin this out
I used to see her, now she’s out there shaking us out

And if you wanna play cards you better be careful
Small blind big blind I will stack the deck cause I know the dealer
Are we on the same side? You put up the hearts and I’ll put up both my aces
Not very far apart, still on different pages

Spill out everywhere I can’t keep from falling apart
And though I wanted you my intent was flawed from the start
