As they prepare for a special one-off UK show at London’s Heaven next month, Trash Boat has delivered a new single called ‘Break You’. It sees the St Albans quintet offer an adrenaline-fueled number that doesn’t let go from the moment it takes off.
However, despite it being a musical rush, ‘Break You’ sees Trah Boat vocalist Tobi Duncan reflect on what he describes as “the single most significant period of fear and anxiety” he’s ever had. “I’ve never felt anything like it before or since. I don’t have a clue where it came from or how it happened, but I was reduced to a constant feeling of indiscriminate fear, not of anything in particular, just fear,” explains Duncan. “It felt like it was the beginning of the rest of my life, like I was going to feel this way or worse forever. I couldn’t even get out of bed or leave the house, let alone tour, travel, socialise, work etc. And yet I made it through and learned a lot about myself and what I am capable of, so this song dives into my thoughts surrounding this period.”
The aforementioned London show, dubbed ‘One Night In Heaven’, takes place on May 9th.
