2024 has been a relatively quiet one for Scottish duo Vukovi. However, next year will see them return with a new album. ‘My God Has Got A Gun’ will be released through Sharptone Records on January 24th, 2025.
The album was recorded with producer Machine (Press To MECO, Four Year Strong, Miss May I, As It Is) at his storied Machine Shop Recording Studio in Austin, Texas.
As a teaser, the pairing of Janine Shilstone and Hamish Reilly have dropped a video for a track called ‘GUNGHO’. Unsurprisingly, it’s a banger that weaves in alluring melodies with heavy riffs.
UPDATE: Since announcing ‘My God Has Got A Gun’ on Monday (September 30th), Vukovi announced a short run of UK dates of a wider European tour. Support comes from Unpeople and Artio.

Pull me back with violence
And I wish this kiss ate my body and my hungry lips alive.
Pull me back with violence.

YOUR HANDS AROUND MY NECK
I’m allowed, bare everything
I can bite it’s not a sin
Burning eyes, let’s begin a red night
Make way for a type O, got me feeling like I’m gungho, whip back like a rifle, make me cry before the night goes
Oh night rain I wanna play
