Green Day have announced plans to release a new “Best Of” collection. Ahead of their sold out UK Tour, Metallica have announced they will be opening a pop-up store in London. It will open on October 18th through to October 23rd from 12 pm – 8 pm, except for the 23rd when it will be open from 12 pm – 6 pm. It is located in the pop-up hot spot of Shoreditch at 45 Charlotte Road, London, EC2A 3PD.

As It Is have announced they have parted ways with guitarist Andy Westhead.

Washed Up Emo has revealed details of a new book titled ‘Anthology of Emo: Volume One’. Written by Washed Up Emo founder Tom Mullen, the 376-page book compiles the best stories from the podcast along with rare and unseen photos and ephemera. ‘Anthology of Emo: Volume One’ will ship in December and can be pre-ordered here.

Bath-based pop-punk band Montroze have announced they will be splitting up at the end of the year.

London-based social-political punks, Drones have revealed their new album will be titled ‘Exiled’. It’s set to be released through Lockjaw Records in early 2018.

Big Dumb Face, the side project from Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland, has announced its return with a new album. ‘Where Is Duke Lion? He’s Dead…’ is set for release on October 31st via Edison Sound.

SECT, consisting of current/ex members of Cursed, Burning Love, Catharsis, Fall Out Boy, and more, have announced the release of their upcoming new album, ‘No Cure for Death’. It will be released on the 24th November via Southern Lord Records.

New Orleans, LA punks HiGH have joined Wiretap Records. A new album, ‘Evil Gene’, will be released on November 17th.

Blackened tech-metal project ECHOPRAXIA is set to release a Halloween-inspired EP, ‘Pumpkin Palace’, on October 31st.

Festival News

Emperor, Nails and DevilDriver have been added to next years Bloodstock Festival. They’ll join headliners Judas Priest, Gojira and Nightwish.
