Brighton noise/punk band His & Hers have joined Speaking Tongues. An EP called ‘Bark At The Sun’ will be released on April 13th.

German hardcore punks Arrow Minds are set to release their debut album, ‘Alcatraz Affairs’, through White Russian Records on March 31st.

Festival News

Palaye Royale, Chapel, Sleep On It, Dream State, Grayscale, Holding Absence, Milestones, Stand Atlantic and The Faim have been confirmed for the Rock Sound Breakout stage at this year’s Slam Dunk Festival. Local bands can enter a competition to play the same here.

Emo Nite LA have announced they will be hosting the Slam Dunk Festival South pre-party at London’s O2 Islington Academy on May 25th.

17 bands have been added to the ArcTanGent Festival with Glassjaw​ and Shellac being confirmed as headliners. Other additions include La Dispute​, Arcane Roots​, Alcest​, Zeal & Ardor​, Black Peaks​, Vennart​, Delta Sleep​, Telepathy​, People Like Milk Products (Memory of Elephants & Chiyoda Ku Big Band), Scalping, Wren​, Jo Quail​, VLMV​ and Vasquez.

The latest round of names for the UK Tech-Metal Fest have been announced. It sees Protest The Hero (‘Fortress’ 10th anniversary), SikTh, Norma Jean (‘Redeemer’ anniversary), Bleed From Within, and Converge playing the four day, Newark, Nottinghamshire based festival. Other additions are Nexilva, Cognizance (EU Exclusive Debut), The Voynich Code, Crepitation, Despite Exile, Unprocessed, This Is Turin, Arcaeon, Perception and Tiberius.

The final names for Leicester’s Handmade Festival have been announced. It sees the likes of Black Peaks and Kamikaze Girls joining the two-day event.
