Fresh off the release of their impressive new album, ‘The Grand Scheme Of Things’, last month, Bristol-based sludge metal experimentalists Sugar Horse have delivered an engaging live video for ‘Jefferson Aeroplane Over The Sea’.
Recorded at Hertfordshire’s Signal House Studios, the monochrome visual captures the track’s “doomgaze” tone with trippy effects before bursting into colour in its final moments.
“Jefferson… is a song about what my father, and my daughters, have missed out on from my father’s passing,” shared Sugar Horse‘s Ashley Tubb. “[It’s] A big melodic number in the vein of The Cure’s more synth-heavy moments, or the more solemn songs on Joy Division’s Closer.”
It comes just days after Sugar Horse appeared at Damnation Festival in Manchester. The quartet have also announced they will be playing a short run of headline dates in Nottingham, Leeds, Plymouth and London in February.
