Alexisonfire Announce Live Album (‘Born & Raised 2022, St Catharines ON’)

Canadian hardcore greats Alexisonfire have revealed they will release a new live album on June 27th. ‘LIVE Born & Raised 2022, St Catharines ON’ captures 17 tracks from two hometown shows from the band’s inaugural Born & Raised Festival.

For the Ontario quintet, the shows saw them coming full circle having played in St Catharines in their early years. “St. Catharines was a perfect breeding ground for young independent bands. There was no shortage of venues where you could play or promote a show. So in the early 2000s, Alexisonfire learned a lot of what we needed to know coming up in St. Catharines,” commented Alexisonfire vocalist George Pettit. “Coming back and playing a massive festival in Montebello Park was not only fun but served as an opportunity to give something back to the city that taught us how to be a band.”

Amongst the seventeen tracks is the first live outing of ‘Jubella’. The studio version of the track appeared on Alexisonfire‘s 2002 self-titled debut. Another track from the live album, ‘Little Girls Pointing and Laughing’, can be heard below.
