Having recently joined Run For Cover Records, along with sharing details of their second album, ‘Home In Another Life’, emerging Washington rockers Enumclaw have delivered a new song. ‘Not Just Yet’ is the second track to be lifted from ‘Home In Another Life’ and serves a sharp, distortion-drenched taster from the quartet.
Furthermore, it juxtaposes tender lyricism as the quartet produces a distressed ode to vocalist Aramis Johnson and bassist Eli Edwards’ Uncle Mike. Johnson’s heartfelt words struggle to come to grips with the “only father he’ll ever know” as his Uncle Mike battles with his recent diagnosis of early-onset Alzheimers.
‘Home In Another Life’ will be released on August 30th.
‘Not Just Yet’ Lyrics
My aunt lost control of my uncle the only father he’ll ever know
who would’ve thought uncle mike could get old
if life could always stay golden
This cant be true
This cant be true
This cant be true
This cant be true
Where would i be without uncle mike
The pants i own he bought em
So how could he forget me when he taught me everything
This cant be true
This cant be true
This cant be true
This cant be true
Not Just Yet
