Superheaven will play a final London show at The Lexington on Sunday August 28th as part of their final visit to the UK. Last week the quartet announced they would be going on an indefinite hiatus following a final North American tour and an appearance at Reading and Leeds Festival.

Pity Sex have confirmed they will be returning to the UK in October for a headline run.

In This Moment have been forced to cancel their upcoming European tour due to an injury sustained by lead guitarist Chris Howorth. He is currently being treated and unable to perform for the foreseeable future.

Exeter-based rock newcomers Witterquick have joined LAB Records. Their debut EP ‘Beneath The Spinning Lights’ will be released on 17th June.

After a five year break, Akercocke have reformed with original members Jason Mendonca, Paul Scanlan and David Gray being joined by bass player Nathaniel Underwood. They are currently working on their 6th album and will make their first live appearance in five years at Bloodstock Open Air Festival on Friday 12th August.

Members of Deftones and Bad Brains have formed a new band called Saudade. A self-titled track is available for free via BitTorrent.

Emarosa will return on July 8th with their Hopeless Records debut – ‘131.’

Music for Nations have announced that they will release Opeth’s critically acclaimed live album ‘Lamentations’ for the very first time on triple vinyl on 22nd July.

Festival News

Zebrahead, Black Spiders, HECK, Reckless Love, The Algorithm, Fort Hope, Palm Reader, Wars, Fizzy Blood, Kenneths, Oxygen Thief, Brightlight City, and Pretend Happy are some of the latest names to be added to Camden Rocks. However Escape The Fate and We Are The Ocean have pulled out of the festival.

mewithoutYou, Cleft, Gallops and Enemies are amongst 23 bands who have been added to ArcTanGent. The other names announced today are Knifeworld, Let’s Talk Daggers, Eugene Quell, Adam Betts, Vasudeva, Viva Belgrado, Fall Of Messiah, Zeus, Intervals, Plini, The Brackish, Envoys, Bearded Youth Quest, Super Goliath, FOES, Weddings, Space Blood, Classically Handsome Brutes and Sleep Kit.

Xtra Mile Records will be taking over the Axiom Stage at 2000 Trees Festival for the whole of Thursday 7th July.

The latest round of bands for Bloodstock Open Air Festival have been confirmed and sees Akercocke, Desert Storm, Divine Chaos, Poseidon, Mordrake, Rabid Bitch Of The North, and Rest In Fear joining the bill.
