Buffalo’s Lemuria are a strange breed. They play a brand of pop punk which manages to find fans in both the indie and the hardcore/punk scene. Since their demo in 2004 – a loud, shouty pop punk affair – they’ve wracked up an impressive thirteen releases with their more recent material featuring a more melancholic, subdued sound. They recently self-released their 2004 demo on 12" vinyl proving that, despite having worked with such heavy weights as Bridge Nine and Asian Man Records, they remain a fiercely independent band.
We spoke to the band about touring, Bridge Nine and the progression between their records.
‘Pebble’ by Lemuria is out now on Bridge Nine Records.
