Lake Malice Go to the Fifth Element on ‘Bloodbath’

Lake Malice

Burgeoning Brighton-based duo Lake Malice continue to gain momentum and have released their latest single in the form of ‘Bloodbath’.

It sees vocalist Alice Guala and guitarist Blake Cornwall display their brand of hyperactive melodic metal brilliantly. Incorporating trap beats, Alice’s vocals soar with a shining pop quality before erupting with pure angst in the bridge.

“This song is an anthem for anyone who has ever felt trapped and alone.”

Lyrically, the track sees Guala explore the topic of abusive and controlling relationships.

“Bloodbath carries a potent message about the perils of abusive relationships and explores the painful and all too common experience of feeling trapped with a controlling partner,” explains Alice. “This song is an anthem for anyone who has ever felt trapped and alone.”

While previous single, ‘Stop The Party, saw Lake Malice take inspiration from ‘The Last of Us’, this time round they have taken influence from cinematic cyberpunk classics ‘Blade Runner’ and ‘The Fifth Element’.
