Having impressed with their recent single, ‘Bored of Being Sad’, Microwave have treated us to another taste of their upcoming ‘Let’s Start Degeneracy’ record. ‘Huperzine Dreamz’ sees the Atlanta trio demonstrate another side, taking inspiration from alternative R&B artist, Frank Ocean.
Accompanied by longtime friend Joe Hertler (Joe Hertler and the Rainbow Seekers), who lent his product and piano-playing talents, the track sees Microwave provide a chilled-out and hypnotic number.
Its title is the namesake of Huperzine A, a naturally derived supplement that increases the amount of Acetyl-Choline in your body. Commenting on the track, Microwave vocalist/guitarist Nathan Hardy stated it’s “kind of a nod to the wide variety of nu-tropic supplements Tito and I have been experimenting with over the last several years.”
‘Let’s Start Degeneracy’ is released on April 26th on Pure Noise.
