Aussie metal titans Parkway Drive have returned with an anthemic new track called ‘Sacred’. The stomping number is the band’s first new material since 2022’s ‘Darker Still’.

The song highlights  Parkway Drive‘s perseverance as they continue to celebrate their 20th anniversary. “The mission statement for ‘Sacred’ is pretty damn simple. An anthemic wrecking ball of positive energy. Our lives and the way we exist in the world has been pushed further and further through the lenses and frames of negativity and hopelessness,” explains vocalist Winston McCall. “Obsession with everything we lack, everything we hate, everyone we blame, everything that keeps us down. We sell the unique parts of us most precious just to buy back manufactured pieces of self in order that we may feel whole again. ‘Sacred’ is our identity. ‘Sacred’ is our time. Never lose sight and never lose hope.”

2025 looks set to be a busy year for Parkway Drive. It’ll begin with a sold-out symphonic show at the iconic Sydney Opera House next month, before a summer of North American shows. The Autumn will see them bring their 20th anniversary tour to the UK and Europe. In what is described as their “most ambitious production to date,” the tour will see them be joined by fellow Aussie’s Thy Art Is Murder and The Amity Affliction.
