French metalcore exports Resolve will be giving their 2023 album, ‘Human’, the deluxe edition treatment on October 25th. It will include their new single, ‘Molotov’, which is released today.
The track sees the quartet continue to explore the world of artificial intelligence, engulfing it with fiery guitars and combative vocals. “’Molotov’ is an incendiary track, relentless and aggressive. I feel like upon the first few seconds of the track, you get the message clear as day: we’re here to shake the earth to its core. It’s very much a follow-up, an epilogue even, to 2023’s lead single ‘Human,'” Resolve vocalist Anthony Diliberto comments. “Decades after the machine’s overtaking of earth and humanity, the cycle begins again and a new hope for humanity arises when a robot inexplicably starts behaving like an actual living person. When you stand out so much from the crowd, does that make you a leader or a pariah?”
‘Molotov’ is one of several new songs that will appear on the expanded version of ‘Human’, along with a live version of ‘The Fire, The Aftermath, The Everlasting’. “This is a new form of release for us, which is very exciting. We get to build up on the world that we shaped for Human, and these new tracks are the continuation of the story,” states bass player Robin Mariat. ” These new tracks definitely have something for everyone, whether you like the heavier side of Resolve, or if you are more into our melodic capabilities.”
The release of ‘Human’ (Deluxe) comes as Resolve prepare to end the year with a wealth of European shows. In addition to a run of homeland shows in France this month, they’ll be supporting While She Sleeps throughout Europe in November, before the tour arrives in the UK in December. They’ll be joined by Currents and thrown on the bill.
