“‘One Drink Away’ is one of the rawest songs I’ve ever written.”
British alt-pop singer-songwriter RØRY is preparing to release her debut album, ‘RESTORATION’, in the new year. Today, she’s released the latest preview of the record in the form of ‘One Drink Away’.
Never one to shy away from her past alcohol and substance abuse issues, the track is a delicate and raw acoustic number that addresses her ongoing battle with sobriety and recovery.
“‘One Drink Away’ is one of the rawest songs I’ve ever written. Sobriety has given me everything—a family, and a career I thought I’d lost—but no matter how well I’m doing, addiction is always lurking, ready to pull me back under,” explains RØRY. “This song is a reminder that even after six years, I’m still just one choice away from losing it all. It’s for anyone who knows that recovery isn’t a finish line; but a constant, daily battle.”
‘RESTORATION’ is released on January 31st via SADCØRE Records. It will be followed up by a UK headline tour that features support from As December Falls and Lake Malice.
