Song of the Day: Crossfaith – ‘L.A.M.N (featuring Bobby Wolfgang)’

Crossfaith

After a slight hiatus and line-up change, Crossfaith are gearing up for their return on June 26th with the release of ‘AЯK’. Having carved out a hyperactive brand of metalcore, the Japanese quintet dives straight in on their latest single ‘L.A.M.N’.

Joined by Bobby Wolfgang (Strange Bones), L.A.M.N’ is a whirlwind mix of swirling electronica mashed with a metalcore blast. While despite its rapid energy, Crossfaith spoke about the track’s thought-provoking lyrical side.  “This song is like an antithesis to phenomena like lookism and other political correctness going over the edge today. Through this song, want to conves the message ‘that it is alright to break down in this corrupted society’. It is completely natural that everyone is different,” Crossfaith explained. On the collaboration with Bobby Wolfgang, the band said“he is one of the artists we’ve always wanted to collaborate with, and he definitely brought that edge to this song.”

‘AЯK’s release will be Crossfaith‘s first full-length in six years. Since the release of ‘Ex Machina’, the world has changed yet Crossfaith seemingly continue to push their sonic boundaries. ‘L.A.M.N’ considerably epitomises that mindset, serving as an in-your-face onslaught. Likewise, previous single, ZERO highlighted the quintet’s killer instinct and ability to deliver bombastic metalcore.

‘AЯK’ by Crossfaith is released on June 26th 2024 on UNFD and Warner Music Japan.
