Bursting with an abundance of vibrancy, Kite Thief have quickly shown they are ones to watch. ‘Judge Judy & Executioner’ is one of the standout tracks of the Bristol band’s debut EP – ‘Ambiviolent’.
Arriving last month, the quintet show a flair for blending massive hooks with electro quirks and equally big riffs. ‘Judge Judy & Executioner’ showcases all that in the best way possible, serving as an infectious, adrenaline rush.
“This is probably my favourite song that we have ever written. It was the first song that we fully completed when we started writing again, and during that time I was going through an awful breakup from a long-term relationship,” explains Kite Thief vocalist Elin Allin. ‘Judge Judy & Executioner’ benefits from Allin’s emotions, serving as an outpouring. “I was confused, angry and bitter, and this song encompasses all of that. But it has been a huge part of my healing process and has come full circle. Now it is just the most fun, energetic and cathartic song to play live.”
Signed to Year Of The Rat Records, Kite Thief will be hitting the road hard in the coming months with headline dates followed by shows supporting Marisa And The Moths, as well as festival appearances at Takedown Festival and 2000trees Festival.
