Terminals Preview New EP with ‘Depths’

Terminals

Rising Birmingham trio Terminals are preparing to release their debut EP, ‘Baptise’, in a few weeks. As a preview of what’s to come, they’ve shared another track from the EP – ‘Depths’.

Blending stiff, chugging guitars with James Whitehouse’s escalating vocals, ‘Depths’ captures Terminals‘ expansive brand of alt-rock in a strong light. This is enhanced by a swirling undercurrent led by bassist James Cohu, and drummer Joe Cooper.

Thematically, the track maintains the personal narrative that ‘Baptise’s title track honed in; Whitehouse reflecting on recent times of struggle. “’Depths’ is about being at the bottom. I wrote this song about my lowest point and the torment that came with the thoughts I had running through my head every day,” explained Terminals‘ guitarist and vocalist. “The lyrics touch upon how hidden feelings were burying me, as I spiralled through my dark descent. I wasn’t even fully aware of how I felt, and the emotion and feel of this song expresses the torment that I went through during this part of my life.”

‘Baptise’ EP by Terminals is due for release on July 3rd. You can pre-save it here.
