Muse Preview ‘The Wow! Signal’ with ‘Cryogen’

Muse have shared ‘Cryogen’, the latest preview of their forthcoming album ‘The Wow! Signal’, due 26th June via Warner Records.

With a spiky riff reminiscent of their classic ‘Plug In Baby,’ ‘Cryogen’ serves as a heavy tease for ‘The Wow! Signal’. Lyrically, Matt Bellamy paints a vivid picture of a man in isolation, to the point that he envisions his tormentor as a frozen moon of Jupiter and himself as a lost speck on its surface.

Sleeping With Sirens Detail New Album ‘An Ending In Itself’

Sleeping With Sirens have announced ‘An Ending In Itself’, their eighth album, which will arrive on June 12th through Rise Records.

Produced by Will Yip (Turnstile, Circa Survive, Movements), it includes the previously released title track and is now accompanied by a new single, ‘Forever/Always’. Kellin Quinn’s distinctive vocals lead the track and captures the restless spirit of Sleeping With Sirens‘ growing influence. The combination of soaring hooks and a big post-hardcore sound is certainly impactful.

For Quinn, the track is rooted in gratitude, “‘Forever/Always’ to me is a thank you to the person or the people in your life that are there for you in good and in challenging moments,” he says. “I’m thankful for the people I love, for my friendships, for the people that keep me grounded, for the people that lift me up. My hope is that this song brings you and your friends closer together.”

Quicksand Return with New Album ‘Bring On The Psychics’

Post-hardcore legends, Quicksand, will return on July 17th with their first album in five years. ‘Bring On The Psychics’ will be released through Equal Vision Records / Rude Records.

Consisting of 10 tracks, the record sees guitarist and vocalist Walter Schreifels reflect on his past. While its title is inspired by a quote from scientist Carl Sagan. “For this album, I was going back to a lot of my earlier influences about ‘break down the walls’ or ‘start today,'” Schreifels shares. “Regardless of whether you’re into hardcore or youth crew, they’re really cool records because they’re speaking to the time and providing possible paths to a better future … with mosh parts. That’s the energy that I wanted to bring to this.”

Completed by bassist Sergio Vega and drummer Alan Cage, ‘Bring On The Psychics’ promises to see Quicksand bridge the gap between their ’90s heavy material and their more recent experimental output.

The announcement is led by the album’s two opening tracks: ‘Get To It’ and ‘Regenerate’. Both tracks are delivered with urgency, with the former serving as a direct statement. “‘Get To It’ is the voice in your head calling bullsh*t on all the ways we overthink, over rationalize, postpone, and avoid doing the things we really want to do and becoming the people we really want to be,” says Schreifels.Get to it, time is running out.”

RØRY Form ‘Kids These Days’ Political Party and Shares New Single

RØRY have announced the formation of the Kids These Days political party, sharing a new single to launch it. The platform is clear: Great Britain suppresses its feelings, and someone has to do something about it.

The track is described as a rallying cry against the rising tide of self-expression, therapy culture, and emotional awareness sweeping the nation. “Kids these days are getting diagnosed with ADHD, going to therapy, and talking about their feelings,” says RØRY “That is not how it’s done. This is GREAT BRITAIN. We suppress things here. It’s time someone did something about it.”

WREX Drop New Single ‘111’

WREX have released ‘111’, the final cut ahead of their new EP Sadworld’, set for release on 20th May.

As you may have guessed, coming in at a mere one minute and 11 seconds, ‘111’ sees the Brighton-based duo deliver a sharp blast of alt-rock. With the ‘Sadworld’ EP embracing themes about uncertainty, anxiety and self-doubt, ‘111’ plays into this with words of chaotic uncertainty and being worn down.

“111 was written in and for the chaos of the live room. We wrote it during that burnt-out stretch after touring, and since then it’s become a real turning point in the set – the moment where everything suddenly locks in together,” WREX explain. “It feels like an anthem for our neurodiverse friends: a purge of energy, a release, and a reflection of that ADHD itch you just can’t scratch – that restless pressure, that impulse to self-destruct when you’ve been holding everything together for too long.”

On Borrowed Time Tease New Album with ‘After All’

Melodic heavyweights On Borrowed Time are preparing to release their debut album, ‘In The Dark Before The Dawn’, on May 29th through Omen Records. Having recently shared ‘Burden,’ the Dorset group have released another thrilling blast of hardcore in the form of ‘After All’.

With its pounding drums and Damien Carter’s stringent lead guitar, ‘After All’ exemplifies On Borrowed Time‘s mix of crushing heaviness and melodic nous. For Carter, he considers one of the band’s “most personal songs” “‘After All’ is born from confronting the weight of things we can’t change and learning to find strength within that struggle. While it speaks to isolation, the anthemic gang-vocal ending transforms that loneliness into unity, making it a real call to arms for anyone fighting their own battles,” Carter explains. “The track represents acceptance rather than resolution, embracing every scar and flaw as part of who we are. More than anything, it’s an invitation for listeners to stand with us and shout those final words together.”

LoveLost Announce EP ‘Picking Petals By Your Graveside’

South West alt-rockers LoveLost have set a release of June 5th for their second EP. ‘Picking Petals By Your Graveside’ will be released through Year of the Rat Records

The seven-track release will include the duo’s recent single, ‘Don’t Set Yourself On Fire (Just To Keep Someone Else Warm)’, alongside new single, ‘I Thought I Could Hide But You Caught Me’.

The latter excels with its bold execution and a solid emotional core, a common trope of LoveLost.

“‘I Thought I Could Hide But You Caught Me’ is about feeling unable to talk about your deepest inner emotions and feelings, and if you did, it would be like screaming them into a crowded room whilst everyone ignores and talks louder over you,” says vocalist Tobias Faulkner. “Both the shame and frustration of feeling the way that you do keeps you in a cycle that ultimately leads to you mourning the person that you were and the friends you lost along the way, due to either hiding yourself away or through their lack of understanding of you.”
