Next month, Milwaukee emo band Barely Civil will be releasing their new album. ‘I’d Say I’m Not Fine’ will be through Take This To Heart Records. To give fans another taste of what to expect, they’ve shared a track called ‘Not Fine’.
While past single, ‘Better Now’, prospered through its radiant emo-rock tone, ‘Not Fine’ captures Barely Civil in a gentler mood with soft acoustic strums complementing the emotional tone of Connor Erickson. Its delicate build is reminiscent of Manchester Orchestra and The Hotelier, leading to an all-out attack of stirring electric guitars and punching percussion.
