As they prepare for the release of ‘The Surface’ on October 13th, Beartooth have shared another preview in the form of ‘The Better Me‘. It sees the US rockers collaborate with country singer-songwriter – HARDY.

It’s a  product of the mutual admiration for each other’s work and their friendship. In an interview with Billboard earlier this year, HARDY spoke about looking to Shomo for advice on how to perfect his own sing/scream vocal delivery when performing his hard rock/country number, ‘Boots’.

“There’s a trick to it. It’s not as loud or as harsh on your throat as you would think,” HARDY told Billboard. “I kept trying to get better at it, and I had a bit of a conversation with Caleb Shomo from Beartooth about it, and then Hunter Madison from Hunt the Dinosaur.”

As for ‘The Better Me’, it sees Beartooth and HARDY deliver a bombastic track while maintaining the positive self-care lyrical tone of ‘The Surface‘.

“There are times where we feel like there is a way better version of ourselves somewhere deep inside that we need to find and bring back to the forefront of our lives,” shares Beartooth frontman Caleb Shomo. “This song is about going through the things that brought me to that conclusion. Simply put, I made a choice to be a better me”

The video for ‘The Better Me’ sees Shomo and HARDY hanging out, recording the track, and doing the most rock star thing… playing a round of golf.
