Anthemic heavy rockers Beartooth have dropped their latest track – ‘Sunshine’.
It sees vocalist Caleb Shomo capture the feeling a lot of us have been yearning for over the winter months – some bloody sunshine! Speaking from experience, I notice my mood drop when it’s more cold and dark most of the time. We all know summer is a much better and happier season, right?
“‘Sunshine!’ is about a lot of things, the most obvious being seasonal depression,” says Shomo. “It’s always been prevalent in my life but as I grow older, it gets more intense. This song is also about moving on from the dark place I was in during 2020-2021. At the end of the day, life should be enjoyed and a Beartooth song doesn’t always have to be miserable.”
‘Sunshine’ itself is another onslaught of Beartooth‘s frantic brand of rock with a cathartic edge.
With its positive message, blistering delivery, and razor-sharp breakdown, ‘Sunshine‘ is ready-made for a headbanging, fist-pumping summer.

‘Sunshine’ Lyrics
Killing my time in the dark inside
It’s a race to death for me
Try and unwind while I lose my mind
I got no place to be
The cold winds blowing
The lights not showing
Excuses piling up
I can’t keep running
The end is coming
I think I need some
I think I need some
Sunshine that would finally show
I Might die if I stay in this cold
And I finally admit it
I gotta be committed
To let this story unfold
I hear angels calling my name and
I better listen before I implode
I don’t care for a minute
If no one’s gonna get it
Let’s try selling our souls
Living in filth can’t look at myself cause I know what I’m gonna see
The spirit I lost
The years it cost
The reasons I’m scared to sleep
The room is spinning
The clock keeps ticking
I’ve finally had enough
I can’t keep running
The end is coming
I think I need some I think I need some
Sunshine that would finally show
I might die if I stay in this cold
And I finally admit it
I gotta be committed
To let this story unfold
I hear angels calling my name and
I better listen before I implode
I don’t care for a minute
If no one’s gonna get it
Let’s try selling our souls
The end is coming
The end is coming
The end is coming
I can’t keep running
The end is coming
I think I need some
I think I need some
Sunshine that would finally show
I might die is I stay in this cold
And I finally admit it
I gotta be committed
To let this story unfold
I hear angels calling my name and
I better listen before I implode
I don’t care for a minute
If no one’s gonna get it
Let’s try selling our souls
