Back in May, Creeper shared details of their third album – ‘Sanguivore’. While we’re still two months away from its Friday October 13th release, the goth punks have previewed the album in the form of its second single, ‘Teenage Sacrifice‘.
On first listen, the track is tonally similar to ‘Cry To Heaven’, leaning on an 80’s goth-tinged and grandiose rock sound. While its video embraces a strong horror influence with nods to ‘Carrie’, ‘Children of the Corn’ and more. You can view the (slightly) NSFW video below.
Both the track and video introduce Mercy, a character Creeper vocalist Will Gould describes as “the protagonist of the Sanguivore narrative.” Gould expanded on her role by stating, “She’s deceptively innocent yet savagely violent, and her ability to make people fall under her spell is just one indication that Mercy is not all that she seems.”
