This past March, Chicago-based outfit Footballhead reissued their debut album, ‘Overthinking Everything’. However, they’ve wasted no time in delivering new material having released a track called ‘Your Ghost’.
Opening with sharp guitars, it soon settles down into a blissful verse before alt-rock guitars burst through. Aided by a brief, thriving solo, the track is threaded together by Ryan Nolen’s introspective words. Overall, ‘Your Ghost’ builds on the emo and 90’s alt-rock base shown on ‘Overthinking Everything’, allowing the quintet to establish a bolder sound.
‘Overthinking Everything’ is one of the hidden gems of the year so far, and with the addition of ‘Your Ghost,’ Footballhead continues to show why they’re “ones to watch”
