Recently, Lake Malice released their debut EP, ‘Post-Genesis’ and are currently in Europe with Enter Shikari. Now, the Brighton-based duo have revealed a music video for EP track, ‘Power Game’.
“Power Game explores the theme of dealing with people who abuse their position of power. The dark and uneasy visuals of the music video empathise with the feelings of being lost and trapped when dealing with narcissistic and manipulative behaviour,” explained Alice Guala (vocals) and Blake Cornwall (guitar/production). “With references to Immanuel Kant’s “moral laws”, the lyrics of the track explore the blurred line between right and wrong, in a setting where one individual tries to take control over people by gaslighting them. They then have to deal with the consequences of their own actions.”
You can watch the video for ‘Power Game’ below.
The explosive track is the latest in a strong series of singles that accumulated in the aforementioned ‘Post-Genesis’ EP.
Lake Malice will also be heading out on a UK headline tour in March.
