Undoubtedly, ‘Stop The Party’ by Lake Malice was one of the best songs of 2023. It certainly grabbed our attention. Today, the Brighton-based duo have teamed up with Toronto Is Broken to deliver a remix of it.
It sees the UK DJ and producer add a drum and bass element to the musical cocktail of EDM, alt-pop, and metalcore. Commenting on the track, Lake Malice said ‘Stop The Party’ was “a key moment in crafting a sound” that embraced various styles. While Toronto Is Broken’s reimagining is described as giving the track a “futuristic Matrix-esque soundscape.”
This is the second collaborative remix Lake Malice have released. Last month, ‘Blossom’ was injected with a dose of eclectic DnB, courtesy of Bobby Wolfgang.
On the touring front, Lake Malice will follow up their recent UK headline tour with shows supporting Blackout Problems later this year.
