Stockholm trio Normandie have returned with a series of announcements. First of all, they’ll be releasing a new album titled ‘Dopamine’ on February 9th 2024 through Easy Life Records. They’ve also shared a new single, ‘Flowers In The Grave’ and will be playing two UK dates as part of a European tour.
Normandie‘s fourth album, ‘Dopamine’, promises to be “a futuristic, dynamic rock album” with its concept being in the present but with a fictional, hellish look towards the future.
“The whole album is about the chase for different highs and natural chemicals: oxytocin, serotonin, dopamine, endorphins, adrenaline,” explained Normandie frontman Philip Strand. “What if dopamine had to be clinically provided because we’ve burned through our receptors? Making this album futuristic and dystopian came very naturally when we started discussing the current state of the world. We’re all on overdrive. We’re upping the stakes all the time, and everybody has a higher tolerance now for stress in a way that nobody saw coming,”
As part of the band’s ‘Dopamine Clinic’, they will be releasing a song from the album on the first of every month.

Hear Normandie’s New Single – ‘Flowers For The Grave’
Alongside the album announcement, Swedish three-piece Normandie have shared a new track called ‘Flowers For The Grave’. The upbeat track presents the idea of appreciating things in the moment, and not for later.
“Flowers For The Grave is a song about not saving the best for last,” said Strand. “Live your life on the daily and appreciate things taking their time! We’re taught to chase our dreams, but chasing something in the future means you might miss the moment.”
It’s the second track to be lifted from ‘Dopamine’, following ‘Blood In The Water’.
When are Normandie coming back to the UK?
Normandie will follow up the release of ‘Dopamine’ with a brief visit to the UK in March 2024.
