Canadian metal outfit Spiritbox has revealed details of their long-awaited second album. ‘Tsunami Sea’ has been given a release date of March 7th, and will be released through Pale Chord in partnership with Rise Records.
The quartet have once again worked with producers Dan Braunstein and Mike Stringer. The duo oversaw the production of Spiritbox‘s 2021 debut full-length, ‘Eternal Blue’, as well as their follow-up EP’s ‘Rotoscope’ and ‘The Fear of Fear’.
‘Tsunami Sea’s track listing will include this past September’s single, ‘Soft Spine’, and Spiritbox‘s newest single, ‘Perfect Soul’. The track showcases their familiar brand of heavy riffs, Courtney LaPlante’s versatile vocals, dense rhythm section, and ethereal atmospherics.
Since emerging out of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, Spiritbox has become a two-time Grammy-nominated band with a growing reputation amongst heavy music critics and fans. While their growing appeal has seen them crossover and collaborate with hip-hop artist, Megan Thee Stallion, twice. Most recently, ‘TYG’ from Stallion‘s latest album, ‘MEGAN: ACT II’, saw Spiritbox add some metallic bite to MTS‘s glossy hip-hop sound.
2025 looks to set to be a big year for Spiritbox. Besides the release of ‘Tsunami Sea’, they will embark on a headline European tour in February. It includes a sold-out show at London’s Alexandra Palace, with support coming from Periphery and Stray From The Path.
They will then be back in the UK in June. First, they’ll be returning to the Download Festival, and then supporting Linkin Park at Wembley Stadium in London.
