Having revealed details of their new album, ‘‘Suicide and Sunshine’, last month, Trophy Eyes have dropped another preview from it in the form of ‘Kill’.
The track sees the Australian punk group produce a stirring number, embracing a quiet-loud dynamic with John Floreani’s distinctive voice at the forefront.
“Some people use love as a weapon”
On the track, Floreani commented; “All’s fair in love and war. We all carry the scars of love lost. They become visible in the things we do, our actions and our words. Like machines, we continue, only now worn and rattling. Capable of our primary function, but with a little less grace each time. Some people use love as a weapon, and ‘Kill’ is about those people.”
‘Suicide and Sunshine’ will be released through Hopeless Records on June 23rd.
