As always, there has been a wealth of new tracks being unleashed to the masses over the past few days. And rather than churning dozens of news posts about each of them, we’ve pieced them all together in our #NewishMusic Playlist Update.
We’ve added over 50 fresh tracks to the playlist. Here are some of the highlights:
- Iron Maiden‘s Bruce Dickinson delivers the first taste of his upcoming ‘The Mandrake Project’ album in the form of ‘Afterglow of Ragnarok’. The album and its accompanying graphic novel series are said to be about “a dark, adult story of power, abuse and a struggle for identity, set against the backdrop of scientific and occult genius.” In the meantime, here’s the video for ‘Afterglow of Ragnarok’.
- Chelsea Wolfe is as mesmerising as ever as she previews next February’s ‘She Reaches Out To She Reaches Out To She’ full-length with ‘Tunnel Lights‘.
- It’s the start of the month, so that must mean another visit to Normandie‘s ‘Dopamine Clinic’ as they give us ‘Butterflies‘.
- P.O.D. are back with another collaboration. ‘Afraid To Die’ sees them teaming up with Tatiana Shmayluk of Jinjer. There is also a cinematic, sandstorm-filled video for the track, too.
- The likes of The Chisel, Royal Tusk, alt-pop band Carpark, Polar Sun, and “Nu-Core” crew BreakFifty all preview upcoming releases.
- Notable rockers Scott Stapp (of Creed) and former KISS guitar hero Ace Frehley both preview upcoming solo efforts.
- If you’re looking for collaborations, we’ve got The Maine with Nick Santino of Beach Weather, Any Given Day with Annisokay, Blind Channel with RØRY, From Fall To Spring with Ethan Ross, DragonForce with Amaranthe‘s Elize Ryd,
and Bjørkø with Marko Hietala and Petronella Nettermalm. - When it comes to homegrown talent, there is music from electro post-hardcore duo fakeyourdeath, indie punks Gaffa Tape Sandy, Northern Irish pop-punk trio Cherym, feminist punks seven-piece Twat Union, and ballsy metallers InRetrospect.
- From across the pond, there’s music from catchy Seattle mob The Home Team, and new Spinefarm Records signees Lowlives.
